Notice of Special General Meeting

Venue: Dudley Chesham Sports Ground Clubhouse, 40 McIntosh Street, The Oaks NSW 2570
 

PURPOSE OF MEETING

The purpose of this meeting is to consider and, if thought fit, pass the below special resolution to adopt a new Constitution for The Oaks Netball Association Incorporated.
 

SPECIAL RESOLUTION:

That any existing constitution of The Oaks Netball Association Incorporated be repealed, and the Constitution dated 6 August 2025, as circulated to members on 12 August 2025, be adopted. 
 

BACKGROUND

The proposed Constitution has been developed to modernise the club’s governance processes, align with current legislative requirements, and reflect best practice for sporting organisations in the state of New South Wales.

A full copy of the draft Constitution has been:

• Emailed to all members on 12 August 2025;

• Made available for download from the club’s website > VIEW DRAFT CONSTITUTION HERE

• Is available for inspection at the clubhouse by prior arrangement - email tonc.president@gmail.com

 

VOTING ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

Under section 39 of the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 No. 7  (NSW), a special resolution requires at least 75% of eligible voting members present (in person) to vote in favour of the special resolution, for the resolution to pass.

Current Registered Members who are at least 18 years of age at the date of the Special General Meeting are eligible to attend and vote at the Special General Meeting.

PROXIES

There shall be no voting by proxy at the Special General Meeting.
