I WANT TO UMPIRE

Umpiring is an integral part of our sport of netball - umpiring isn't about enforcing the rules but rather about keeping the game fun, safe and fair for everyone on court.

For players, learning to umpire is a fantastic way to broaden their netball knowledge and understanding, as well as helping them to develop both game sense and empathy for the role that both players and umpires play in a game.

Umpiring also helps to develop personal skills such as communication, resilience and leadership, and is a great way to earn some pocket money by umpiring for our club.

With a dedicated Umpire Development Coordinator as part of our Club Committee, new and developing umpires are supported and mentored every step of the way through the umpiring pathway, giving umpires confidence as they learn new skills.

If you or your child would like to learn more about becoming an umpire, please contact our Umpires Convenor, Rochelle Kohler at theoaksnetball@gmail.com

As one of our Association's longest affiliated clubs, The Oaks Netball Club has always been a nursery for developing players, umpires and administrators who have contributed valuably at the top level of our Association.

They are a club that has always been passionate about netball and that follows through to an outstanding level of local community support for the club.
